Spirox Corporation (TWSE: 3055) & Xcerra Corporation (NASDAQ:XCRA) , today announced that they have reinstated their distribution agreement together to have Spirox as the exclusive channel for field sales, application engineering and customer service support operations in Taiwan, Hong Kong and mainland China. Xcerra and Spirox appreciate for all customers’ continuous supports and will jointly develop a communication plan for interacting with customers and will work collaboratively so that the combined effort maximizes the growth opportunity for Xcerra’s semiconductor test products in the region. Both companies are committed to a supportive working relationship moving forward.

Xcerra will continue its plan to establish and solely own and operate Xcerra Development Centers (XDC) in Shanghai, China and Zhubei, Hsinchu County, Taiwan while Spirox will continue to own and operate the sales and field service & applications support functions in the region. The XDCs are technical centers for customers in the region and beyond and will be staffed by Xcerra with people performing activities such as system level engineering, advanced applications support, research and development, and technical product marketing. The goal of each development center is to align Xcerra’s product roadmaps with our customers’ future high-volume production test requirements while Spirox leads the sales and support activity.
